Peter Jackson has movie goers buzzing over the trailer for District 9. Jackson teamed up with Neill Blomkamp on the sci-fi movie. The film is based on Alive In Joburg and centers around Aliens landing in Africa and becoming slaves/migrant workers. In the movie they are called “Non-Humans” and are forced to work by Multi National United.

The cast for Jackson’s new film includes William Allen Young and Robert Hobbs. Little is known at the moment about the actual plot of the film but it will be interesting to discover based on the trailer for the film which is shown as a mock style documentary from what audiences were allowed to see. The trailer is attached to the blockbuster Wolverine.

While the plot is still not entirely known the viral campaign has started out quite like that of the hit film Cloverfield with the main site for the film called D-9.com. One thing I found interesting about the viral campaign is the amount of detail film makers and the studio have put into it and from the trailer one could believe you were watching the preview to an actual documentary. One thing is for certain with a year full of wizards and mutants District 9 is sure to be a sleeper hit this summer!
