A new poster has emerged online for the new film by Peter Jackson entitled The Lovely Bones.

According to IMDB, the film’s focus is on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – as well as her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

The Lovely Bones is based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold and stars Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, and Susan Sarandon. You can expect it in theaters on January 15, 2010.
