“Tron Legacy” is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

As Kick-Ass is starting to come together very well, I’m getting into the ad campaign they are using for this movie. A new poster of Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist is now online.

The Matthew Vaughn directed comic book adaptation has a great cast and looks very promising.  The premise is about a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.

His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).

/Film has posted up a promotional photo of Twilight star Kristen Stewart as a stripper in a Sundance film called Welcome to the Rileys.

James Gandolfini also stars as a businessman who has some sort of involvement with the stripper played by Stewart. The synopsis reads: “On a business trip to New Orleans, a damaged man seeks salvation by caring for a wayward young woman.”

I generally enjoy Kristen Stewart’s performances in lesser known films like Adventureland and I have no doubt that this will be good. Besides, who doesn’t want to see a stripper version of Bella?

Check out the full photo below.

In a post early this month, we talked about a Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman sex scene in Darren Aronofsy’s new film titled Black Swan.

We heard from Portman that the scene was “extreme” and as we promised, today we get to know Kunis‘ description.

Kunis pretty much plays it off as being nothing in the quote below stating,

“It’s two girls making out, and guys have a thing for that. And Nat is like every guy’s dream. She’s a nerd’s idea of heaven… The whole thing is silly, but I can see why people care.”

Of course we care! Then again, we hope that Portman’s description is much more accurate, although we will settle for make-out session, of course.

She also had some more things to say regarding her role in the film, which is looesly about a ballerina’s struggle with a rival that may or may not exist.

“I just skipped about 10 years of ballerina training and started as if I’m a professional,” Kunis says of her preparation for the role. “Every day, I tore the ligaments in my calves and I would think, What am I doing to myself?”

She goes on to describe the story as “a real-life version of the third act of Swan Lake.”

“I just feel like such a douche because I can’t talk about it. It’s not even that big of a deal. It’s a fucking movie. It’s not like I’m saving the world.”

…And we will have to wait until some time in 2010 for her to not save the world, because unfortunately the film’s release date is set tentatively for next year.

Quentin Tarantino 150x150Those were the words exclaimed by Quentin Tarantino in a recent interview according to BadTaste.it in regards to the speculated third film in the series. The original Kill Bill films were released in 2003 and 2004, respectively, and have been host to various rumors since then (even including an anime prequel), mostly stirred by Terrantino, himself. This time, however, we have a definite timeframe: “I wanted 10 years to pass between the second and the third one… Uma needed the time off.” The video of this interview can be found on youtube.

Two days after the statement was made on a foreign language talk show, in which Terrantino also denied the possibility of a Pulp Fiction sequel, the acclaimed filmmaker confirmed that Kill Bill Vol. 3 will be his eighth film, followed by an unknown seventh, and can be expected in 2014.

This is huge news for the movie world and also begs the question, what to do about Bill? Obviously, both the character and the man who played him, David Carradine have passed away, but how can the film with his name in the title not contain some kind of presence by the diabolical, yet empathetic Bill? We’ll have to wait about 4 more years to find out.

Yesterday when our truck arrived, we got our hands on the Half-Blood Prince DVD and found out that if you buy the two disc coming out Tuesday, you will be among the first to see footage from The Deathly Hallows. While I haven’t had a chance to watch the footage yet, I look forward to seeing it this week and letting you know what is coming. Stay tuned for more.

Apparently, Sony sent some more photos from the remake of The Karate Kid over to /Film and so now we have those to share in addition to the one posted earlier.

In the remake, Dre (Smith), a skateboarding video game buff is forced to move to China when his single mother (Taraji P. Henson) must transfer to China for work. Of course, unable to speak Chinese, Dre finds it hard to settle in and gets beat up by the local bully.

Jackie Chan plays Mr. Han who is a maintenance man that spots Dre’s black-eye and offers to teach him both martial arts and Chinese, so he can defend against the students of Li Quan Ha’s Fighting dragon school of Kung-Fu.

Have a look at the new photos below.

The Karate Kid is set for theaters on June 11, 2010.
