Those were the words exclaimed by Quentin Tarantino in a recent interview according to BadTaste.it in regards to the speculated third film in the series. The original Kill Bill films were released in 2003 and 2004, respectively, and have been host to various rumors since then (even including an anime prequel), mostly stirred by Terrantino, himself. This time, however, we have a definite timeframe: “I wanted 10 years to pass between the second and the third one… Uma needed the time off.” The video of this interview can be found on youtube.
Two days after the statement was made on a foreign language talk show, in which Terrantino also denied the possibility of a Pulp Fiction sequel, the acclaimed filmmaker confirmed that Kill Bill Vol. 3 will be his eighth film, followed by an unknown seventh, and can be expected in 2014.
This is huge news for the movie world and also begs the question, what to do about Bill? Obviously, both the character and the man who played him, David Carradine have passed away, but how can the film with his name in the title not contain some kind of presence by the diabolical, yet empathetic Bill? We’ll have to wait about 4 more years to find out.
