MTV has posted a third trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

The trailer showcases some new scenes from the flick that we didn’t see in the first two, as well as more fast-paced action. You can check out the new trailer below.

Sherlock Holmes also stars Rachel McAdams and is set to release on Christmas Day, 2009.

A new promotional poster for the upcoming Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law action/mystery, Sherlock Holmes has surfaced on the web. It is a bit blue but I rather like it. I think the film and the poster both give off a vibe that somehow relates to Christmas. I don’t know why I think this is a perfect film to open on Christmas Day, but it just feels right.

Take a gander at the new poster below:

So, what do you think?

A new trailer for Guy Ritchie’s (Snatch, RockNRolla) new film, Sherlock Holmes has been posted online. I saw the trailer sometime last week ahead of Couples Retreat, but it has been labeled a TV Trailer on the web for some reason.

Anyway, we haven’t seen much new material from the film since the less lengthy trailer debuted back in May. However, this trailer more than makes up for that with several new, extended scenes and a clock time of 2:16 minutes.

Have a look at the new trailer in high quality below:

This film looks great for a number of reasons. After Robert Downey Jr.’s performance in Iron Man last year, I have to say that I am definitely a fan of his comeback and I have always liked Jude Law and Rachel McAdams. Not to mention that this is a different spin on the Sherlock Holmes I’m used to, so it looks very entertaining.

I also applaud the Christmas release date, it just seems perfect for a film like this–although it is a couple months away.

October 16 saw the release of director Terry Gilliam’s highly anticipated film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in the United Kingdom.

I’ve glanced over a few reviews (as I would hate to spoil the adventure for myself) and read that the film is imaginative (duh), beautifully vivid, confusing at times, and overall spectacular. I can’t wait to judge for myself.

Despite all the great reviews, we in the United States must unfortunately wait until Christmas to see this awesome new film. Until then, we are teased with a new poster that displays the film’s style quite vividly.

Take a look at the new poster below.

Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus Poster

Terry Gilliam’s Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was, sadly, Heath Ledger’s last film before his untimely death last year. Stepping in to finish the film are actors Colin Farrell, Jude Law, and Johnny Depp–all of whom have graciously donated their salaries to Heath Ledger’s child, Matilda.

The adventurous film also stars Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Lily Cole and many others.

Sherlock Holmes

In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.

We’ve discussed Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus a great deal here on MuveePRO, but in case you have forgotten, this was the late Heath Ledger’s last film.

In the film, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell finish out the role of Tony, first played by Heath Ledger.

According to The Imaginarum of Dr. Parnassus Support Site, this new photo turned up on the cover of a french magazine, Le Film Francais, and seems to be an image for a new poster, rather than just a simple photo.

It looks pretty awesome, check it out below!

the imaginarium of dr parnassus screenThree new movie clips from Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus have been posted on the Comme Au Cinema site.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus has been receiving a lot of attention for several reasons, but perhaps the most prominent is the fact that it is Heath Ledger’s last onscreen appearance. Not to mention, several actors including Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell pay homage to the late actor by taking over the role of Tony to ensure the film would be released.

However, the film should also be praised because it is the work of director Terry Gilliam, whom I like very much. If you are unfamiliar with his work, take a look at Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or any of the Monty Python films.

In the clips below you will find a scene including Heath Ledger as Tony, Andrew Garfield as Anton, Lily Cole as Valentina, and Christopher Plummer as the doctor.

The clips are all very intriguing and I can’t wait to see this film released in the United States.

Enjoy the three clips below.
